Optical line 1+1 protection equipment working principle

• When the main optical fiber link is working normally, both optical switch 1 and optical switch 2 switch the optical signal to the main optical fiber link.
• When the main optical fiber link fails, optical switch 1 will automatically detect the failure and switch it to the backup optical fiber link.
• Optical switch 2 will continue to switch the optical signal to the active optical fiber link, but because the active optical fiber link has failed, the optical signal cannot be transmitted.
• The devices in the network will detect the loss of optical signals and automatically switch to the backup optical fiber link to ensure the normal operation of the network.
